Catch more Striped Bass this Spring! Capt. Phil Sciortino, Jr. Is holding an exclusive "hands on" clinic for the Striper enthusiast. The course will meet one night a week for four weeks. The fifth session will be in May aboard the TACKLE BOX SPORTFISHING boat for a 3 hour "hand's on" learning charter. This class is for the beginner as well as the novice Bass fisher- person! You will learn new and proven techniques for catching more Striped Bass! See how it's done! And then do it!
We will cover:
BAIT FISHING - learn how to fish bait more productively; tournament proven tricks for live-lining Bunker, Chunking Bunker, Clamming, Eeling, and Worming! TROLLING - learn how the pro's do it! At times trolling catches more Bass than any other method!! And BIG BASS..... Subjects included; wire-line fishing with Bunker spoons, plugging in the rip and "Stretch 25ing". Hay-wire twists, connections, leaders, and boat handling. LOCAL BASS KNOWLEDGE - go over Sandy Hook and Raritan Bay charts. Discover new spots, talk tides, and discuss drifting and anchoring strategies.

RIGGING UP - rods, reels, and lines. Learn about & hand tie your own "killer" Striper rigs- snelling hooks, knots, swivels, etc. Each week we will concentrate on a different rig and technique; you will leave with a "custom" TACKLE BOX rig bag, filled with rigs (tied by you!) Ready to go for the up & coming Striper season.
